THE CRUCIBLE RECOMMENDS
Bold Theatrical Burlesque Tribute
to I Dream of Jeannie
Long-time Crucible fire instructor and Crucible Fire Theater cast member Kristina Nekyia is setting off on a burlesque journey with a new production exploring the vibrant undercurrents of fantasy and submission present in the 1960s television hit, I Dream of Jeannie. Collaborating with singer/composer Mark Growden and coutourier/costumer Mr. David, Kristina will use the art of burlesque to show how I Dream of Jeannie also pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable behavior for a woman. Check out this sexy Showgrrrl’s burlesque Dream of Jeannie, and see both Kristina and Mark Growden in January’s Crucible Revival.
