Please join us for the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources 2011 Homecoming Weekend! We have a weekend full of fun activities planned so you and your family can enjoy catching up with old friends, checking in with the Warnell School, and cheering on the Dawgs!

Friday, November 4th

Alumni School Tour
Front Steps of Warnell, 2:00 pm

Whitehall Mansion Open House
Whitehall Forest, 4:00-5:00 pm
Visit and tour the School’s historic gothic Victorian home located at the entrance to Warnell’s Whitehall Forest.

Annual Alumni Association Meeting
Flinchum’s Phoenix, 5:15pm
Meeting includes updates about programs and current issues at Warnell and UGA. Refreshments and beverages served.

Alumni Dinner
Flinchum’s Phoenix, 6:30pm
Buffet dinner and the annual Alumni Awards program. Presentation will feature Distinguished Alumnus & Young Alumnus Awards as well as Warnell Staff Awards.

$20 per person, $6 for children under 12, children under 6 free.

  

Saturday, November 5th

Game Day Brunch & BBQ
Flinchum’s Phoenix, 9:00am– noon
Cheer on the Dawgs with family, friends, and a classic tailgating menu including brunch items and drinks.
$20 per person, $6 children 12 and under, under 4 years old free.

Shuttle Bus from Flinchum’s Phoenix
Take the hassle outof driving & parking! Leaves approx. 1 hour before game.
$7 per person

UGA vs. New Mexico State Football Ticket
We have a limited number of football tickets to sell. Price is $50 per ticket. Please contact the Alumni Office for more information.

UGA vs. New Mexico State on the Big
Screen!
1:00pm (estimated kick-off)
Stick around after the Game Day BBQ and watch the Dawgs take on New Mexico State from Flinchum’s Phoenix.

The Warnell Alumni Association Steering Committee is accepting nominations for new members. If you would like to nominate and alumnus of Warnell please go to the Alumni page on the web and download the form. Send the completed form to the Warnell Alumni Office by October 21, 2011.

Distinguished Alumnus Award

Distinguished Alumnus Award Requirements: This award recognizes contributions and commitment to the School, profession, and respective community.

Young Alumnus Award Requirements: Must be a Warnell alumnus who has graduated in the past 10 years and is under 40 years old. Must hold a position of responsibility with demonstrated success and actively support the Warnell Alumni Association. Nominations must be received by October 21, 2011.

Parker Memorial Golf Tournament
Friday, November 4th
UGA Golf Course, 8:30 am Shotgun Start!
Registration fee of $60 covers greens fees, carts,
breakfast, one complimentary drink and snack
ticket and lunch. The tournament will be a four-
man scramble. Please indicate preferred playing
partners and current handicap on registration
form. If you do not have a foursome we will
match you up with others to complete your
team. At the conclusion of tournament a picnic
lunch will be served and prizes will be awarded at
the course clubhouse. We must have names of
foursomes, handicaps, and registration fees by
October 21st.

Auburn v. UGA Tailgate - 11/12

Come join Warnell Alumni, Faculty, Staff and friends for our last football tailgate this fall. We will serve a buffet lunch and provide beverages. Price is $15 per adult and $7 for children 12 and under, 4 and under are free. Let us take the hassle out of tailgate planning!

Tailgate tickets can be purchased at the tailgate and should be paid by cash or check. Please RSVP to Emily Nuckolls at (706)542-0713 or enuckolls@warnell.uga.edu.

Parking is not included in the price of the tailgate ticket and parking behind the Warnell School is not available. Please plan ahead.
