Milestone Reached for Guam Transmitter Upgrade Project
On April 19, 2010, TWR reached a milestone in the Guam Transmitter Upgrade Project. The building and transmitter hall modifications were completed to the point where we were able to bring the new transmitters from their storage containers located near the antenna field into the transmitter building. The physical move of the 14,000-pound (each) transmitters required the assistance of a crane and flatbed truck. This was a high-risk event because of the potential danger posed to equipment and personnel. Any mishap could have stopped or changed the project timeline, but, thankfully, the move was successful!
This major accomplishment marks the start of “phase three” of the project, where the transmitters will be connected and tested. Thank you for joining us in prayer to keep rain away and maintain personnel and equipment safety.

Speaking Hope to Latin America
TWR is bringing light and hope to children in Latin America every day through radio, on-the-ground ministry, websites and personal follow-up. In Latin America and the United States, a blue mushroom and a pink worm are teaching Spanish-speaking children the Bible in Las Aventuras de Sabio y Prudente ("The Adventures of Wise and Prudent").
In Venezuela, stories are taught by a puppet octopus named Pedrito (Little Peter) on the program Pedrito el Pulpo ("Little Peter the Octopus"). Entre Jóvenes ("Just Between us Teens") is using interviews and a dynamic magazine format to deal with current topics affecting today's youth. Radio programming is being created by teens for teens in the form of Código Vital ("Life Code"), a 60-minute weekly program with an upbeat format and solid messages to challenge Paraguayan youth.

Your Care and Support
This letter comes from a young man in the Middle East.
Dear TWR,
I’m writing you this letter and tears of joy fill my eyes. There’s no doubt that the Holy Bible is the Word of God which contains all the timeless truths. You cannot imagine my joy upon receiving it, in addition to the lessons that you sent earlier. I eagerly wait for your letters and lessons. This is because, through you, God has changed the course of my life and made me a different person. I now have a reason to live! I’m looking forward to receiving more lessons and inspirational stories from you, as I have already finished reading the previous ones.
Thank you for your care and support,
Your brother in Christ

A Call to Prayer
Prayer is the backbone of TWR’s ministry. In the words of J.C. Ryle: “Prayer is one of the best and most powerful means of helping forward the cause of Christ in the world. It is a means within the reach of all who have the Spirit of adoption. Not all believers have money to give to missions. Very few have great intellectual gifts, or extensive influence among men. But all believers can pray for the success of the gospel, and they ought to pray for it daily.”
