Californians: Please Call for Moratorium on Roundups!
Please call Senator Feinstein and Boxer today!
Dear California Supporters,
Senator Feinstein and Boxer's support for our wild horses is needed in the Senate- please take a few minutes to contact them now and ask that they contact BLM Director Abbey for an immediate moratorium on the ongoing roundups and removals of our wild herds. Over 1700 wild horses and burros are scheduled to be removed from California alone in the next 10 months. (Roundup schedule here). These roundups are fiscally irresponsible and will destroy some of the last of our wild herds in ten western states and put over 9,000 wild horses on government welfare when the vast majority would do much better to stay in the wild. Please ask your friends to join in the call for a moratorium on roundups until independent analysis, further investigations and independent censuses can be done.
