Volunteer at the Expo!
Our largest annual event would not be possible without help from Chamber member volunteers. Sign up to help us stuff attendee bags on September 21, or assist as a greeter or parking volunteer on the day of the event! Email Jessica at jhibbard@frederickchamber.org to add your name to the volunteer list, and we'll send information via email early next week.

10/5 -- Free Lunch & Learn Workshop on Business Recycling
If you’ve considered recycling but haven’t been sure how, why, or when to start, this event is for you! Regional experts and local business owners will share tips on successful recycling programs.
Presentations will cover how to set up an individual program or a recycling cooperative involving multiple organizations, what to look for when hiring a hauler, how to train staff and provide outreach to customers. Local waste haulers will be on hand to discuss your recycling needs one-on-one.
This free, day-long seminar is co-sponsored by the Chamber and includes lunch. Advance registration required. Click here for more info.
10/12 -- Deadline to apply for Business Recycling Awards
The Frederick County Business Recycling & Waste Reduction Awards program was created by the Department of Solid Waste Management, in cooperation with the City of Frederick Office of Economic Development, the Downtown Frederick Partnership, the Frederick Chamber of Commerce and the County Office of Economic Development.
The awards recognize the innovative steps that forward-thinking businesses are taking to waste less of our community's resources. Any business using reduce-reuse-recycle strategies is eligible to apply.
Winners will receive a plaque from the Board of County Commissioners and be given promotion in a large-format newspaper ad as well as other media coverage. Click here for more info.
