FOREWORD | Sharon Bamford CEO UKIBC February saw the major annual bilateral trade negotiations between India and the UK, the JETCO sessions, and we were pleased to note significant involvement from a large number of UKIBC members. The British India Roads Group (BIRG), a group formed following the launch of our Infrastructure Forum, met with Highways Minister Kamal Nath earlier in the month during which he urged the assembled companies to play a key role and to take concrete action to meet his exacting road building targets. Our inaugural Next Gen delegation of young professionals and entrepreneurs to Delhi and Mumbai was incredibly well received by their hosts CII Young Indians, TiE Delhi and charity, Katha. We were greatly impressed by the commitment and enthusiasm of the group. Our thanks to colleagues at UKTI in India, who supported us in this important inaugural mission.
