Rotosound Strings

We became an official dealer of the famous British Rotosound strings this summer.

Since the 60's, Rotosound strings have been the choice for many of the stars. Jimi Hendrix, Phil Lynott, Roger Waters, Paul Mccartney to name a few. We've taken a broad range from the Rotosound collection including Electric and Acoustic Guitar strings along with Bass and folk instrument strings. As with most of our other brands we are happy to expand this range on request.

N-Tune On-board Tuning!

Here's an interesting product that we recently found.
N-tune is a pro tuning solution for Electric and Bass guitars. You replace your volume knob with N-tune's which includes a tuner. Volume works as normal but pull the knob and the guitar output is bypassed and the tuner swings into action.
We were very impressed with the results and this has to be one of the most compact and tidy tuning solutions available. There are 3 different kits available depending on your Guitar type.

The Beatles

With all this recent Beatles resurgence we weren't surprised when Planet Waves announced they had been selected to produce the official range of Beatles branded products. We have in stock the Planet Waves Beatles plectrum packs along with the full range of Beatles vegan friendly straps. Take a look here

Bulk String Deals

We recently began selling strings in bulk. Ernie Ball Slinky Super & Regular are now available in 12 set deals. We also have some Martin Acoustic strings available in deals of 12.
D'addario XL Available in 10 set deals. Have a look here.

Martin have also introduced some of their bronze sets as a 3 pack deal. More here.

Our website now includes new Bulk Buy Pricing on many of our strings. For example: D'addario EZ920 are currently €4.40 a set. Buy 3 sets and you get them for €4.30 a set. Buy 6 sets and they are yours for just €4.20. Buy 10 sets and you get them for only €4.10 a set!!!

Newtone Strings

Newtone, the handmade string maker from northern England have recently introduced a rather innovative new string. The Heritage range for acoustic Guitar have a much lower tension at the same pitch as standard strings. This makes them the ideal choice for Vintage instruments and players who suffer from Arthritis Or Tendonitis. Currently available in 10-43, 11-47 & 12-51. Take a look here.

Pikcard Plectrum Packs

Pikcard are credit card sized cards containing 4 Plectrums with various designs. Each plectrum pops out of the card and pops back in when you have finished. The Pikcard can then be stored in your wallet along with credit/bank cards. Handy! View the range here

Product Locations

We have made some changed to the location of some products at strings.ie. Changes have been made to Martin, Ernie Ball and D'addario strings for Acoustic and Electric Guitar ranges and other products will follow soon. You can now find products arranged by type. So for example, if you were looking for Martin Acoustic Guitar bronze strings you will find them under the following categories: Acoustic Guitar Strings / Martin Acoustic Guitar Strings / Martin Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings. We have done this to make our store more organised. We were getting to a situation where you had tens of products under one category which made things harder to find. If you have any problems please contact us.

New Payment Facilities

We are testing a new payment facility to replace RBS Worldpay who currently handle our payments for Laser, Debit and Credit Cards.
We need a few volunteers to do a bit of testing for us over the next few weeks. You must be a regular customer and familiar with our website and current facilities for card payments. Those who are selected to help us test will receive a 10% off discount code for their trouble. The new payment facilities will not affect Paypal and other payment options.
