Colorado International School
Weekly Update

THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank You to Mr. Alex for hosting another fabulous CoIS Field Day yesterday and to all of our
volunteers who helped! Congratulations to all team members from Zambia, England, Scotland, and
China on their great performances!

CoIS Yearbook for 2010-2011

Speak to Ms. Lindsay if you forgot to order your fabulous CoIS Yearbook for 2010-2011.
Yearbooks will be delivered on Friday, June 3rd during the annual signing party after Spring Fling!

Graduation/Continuation on June 2

Mark your calendars now for the celebration of the students’ achievements of the 2010-11 school
year at our graduation and continuation ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2nd. The
ceremony will be preceded by a potluck dinner at 5:00 p.m. and followed by the spectacular year-
end show! There is a Sign-Up Sheet posted on the PTSO Community Bulletin Board; please bring
a dish to share.

Parents please note: All students must be picked up from the school by their parents by 4:00
p.m. Parents and their students may not remain in the school building or on the school grounds
after 4:00 p.m. We will see all of you again at 5:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2400
S. Colorado Blvd. You are responsible for the supervision of your children during the potluck and
after the evening program concludes; teachers are expected to supervise your children only during
the year-end show and graduation ceremony. Thank you!

Spring Fling

On Friday, June 3rd the older students will organize and run a Spring Fling for the younger students
from 9:30-10:30 a.m. In the past, games have included miniature golf, water balloon toss, ping
pong, air hockey, cotton candy machine, and anything the students can make with school projects
and other recyclable materials. If you have a game you would like to lend the students for the
Fling, please let an older student know today. If you would like to donate prizes for the Prize
Booth, please let an older student know. Thank You!

Last Day of School

Please note: The last day of school, Friday, June 3, is a half day. The school building and
school grounds will be closed and locked as of noon on Friday. Please ensure that your children are
picked up and taken elsewhere by noon. All teachers will be in a meeting starting at noon; no one is
available to supervise children, open doors, and or help you find left-behind items.

Report Cards and ERB Reports

Report cards will be sent home with students on Thursday, June 2. ERB reports for individual
elementary and middle school students will be sent home today. Our students continued to show
strong scores and high percentile ratings on the ERB standardized tests.
