The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) posted a call for interest to public companies listed in the US who currently file financial reports with the US SEC in IFRS. Foreign Private Issuers, which will be mandated to file with XBRL in IFRS from 15 June 2011,are invited to participate in a pilot initiative being coordinated by the IASC Foundation regarding the use of the IFRS Taxonomy 2010 to tag SEC filings in XBRL. The IASC Foundation will accept applications until 15 May 2010.

Canadian regulators seek comment on proposed changes to national mining rule. The CSA is seeking comment by July 23, 2010 on its proposal to repeal and replace National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, Form 43-101F1 Technical Report, and Companion Policy 43-101CP. The CSA is specifically seeking comment on whether to keep, modify or eliminate the short form prospectus trigger for technical reports.
