We hope everyone has had a prosperous summer selling season and also had some time to enjoy each others fellowship.  We just held our Annual State Election and Awards Meeting at the MAR Conference and had a really good turnout.  Our 2012 State Officers were elected as follows:  Lynette Bridges-Catha State President; Helen "Herbie" Hartman State Pres-Elect; Sharon McKenna State Secretary; Amy Menrad State Treasurer; Sharon Curtiss State Governor, Susan Myszkowski State Active Past President. This year we had our first Networking Happy Hour at Mother's Cantina to kick off the conference.  This time together helps us get to know each other on a personal level so we can form relationships to have referral partners in the future.  As you know, Women's Council is all about Networking and Referrals, and what better way to Do the Right Thing for the consumer when making a referral rather than work outside your area of expertise.  I am sure next year we will expand on some fun ideas for the Conference Kick Off so stay tuned.

A Special Congratulations goes to the 2011 MAR REALTOR® of the YEAR - Anita Davis from the Greater Baltimore Chapter.  Anita is also the Nominee for the 2012 WCR President-Elect. We hope you can join us in Anaheim for the vote on this important event.

A Few Words from 2011 President-Elect on Leadership Academy
 
It was a great time in Chicago with Leadership Academy in August.  As always the storms on Sunday made it a terrible trip home as I was in Philly without a trip back to Salisbury.  Thank heavens that you always make friends at these events, as Joanie the PE for Sussex in Delaware came to my rescue and let me ride with her back to Millsboro, Delaware.    Great energy and enthusiasm was shared by all of the State Chapter President-elects during our training.  Some of the things that I would like to mention are all the changes and additions for the 2012 Annual Report.  I will be happy to share the handout with you that have some great information.  Please just email me and I’ll be happy to send it to you.
