Inside this issue... What's in Your Glass?Hi <<First Name>>, Do you know that the average household in Tampa, Florida, uses approximately 36,000 gallons of water per year? I know because my water bill says I used 57,596 gallons of water in the month of July. That seemed extremely high so I did some research.
My first response was to get ticked off. Why did they do this to me? When I settled down I was a little embarrassed by my reaction. A friend of mine says whenever we're bumped it's like a full glass. Whatever is inside of us spills right out.
I want to be a grace-giving and merciful person, but that's not always floating on the surface. Sometimes it's frustration or anger and I haven't let the Holy Spirit skim it off and replace it with kindness and compassion.
I'm going to meet someone at my home to talk with them about the water. Since I've had some time to process things, I hope I can be more graceful. Maybe the next time I get bumped, what sloshes over will look more like Jesus and less like me.

Angela Walker ChristianMovieNews.com Industry Interview Christians in Cinema: Andre Van Heerden by Angela Walker Andre Van Heerden is a wordsmith who has worked in nearly every phase of film production. CEO of Cloud Ten Pictures, he directed, produced, and wrote several of their films, including Judgment and Left Behind: The Movie. You’ve been known for apocalyptic films. Is Saving God a new direction for the company?
Andre: It is, and it isn’t. When we first began Cloud Ten Pictures, our mission was based on a love of film, a love of entertaining and wanting to reach people through that. Any good storyteller, or someone who loves to tell jokes (I enjoy both), knows there’s a punch line, a reason why you’re doing it. Ours happens to be sharing a message of hope, a Christian faith message. When we first began,... [ Read more... ] Documentary Inside the Revolution Airs on Web and Releases on DVD 9/11/09Joel C. From Pastor to Screenwriter and Christian Movie Producer: Art and Kelly AyrisAt some point in their career, writers are usually told, "Write what you know." Art Ayris, an executive pastor at a large central Florida church, put that advice to good use and wrote a movie (The Touch) about his church's women's shelter. Art has also written graphic novels, comics and novels, as well as a screenplay based on a true story from the Sudan. [ Read more... ]

The Sound of a Dirt Road Dove Family-Approved Suitable for all ages Review Courtesy of Video Release: 7/1/2009 Reviewer: Donna Rolfe Source: Video Company: Bridgestone Multimedia Group Writer: Graham Alexander Director: Graham Alexander Producer: Graham Alexander Genre: Drama Runtime: 90 min. MPAA Rating: Unrated Starring: Ross Renefroe, Jenny Hamilton, Graham Alexander Synopsis: After losing his parents as a little boy, John Crowe is mentored and raised by his godly grandfather on the family farm. Learning to love the Lord and the land owned by his family for over 150 years, John grows up and decides to attend a seminary to become a pastor. Unfortunately, he is forced to drop out early after his grandfather's death, and he returns home to become a humble, hard-working farmer with a quiet faith. When he's not caring for his livestock or maintaining the ranch, John spends time reading God's Word or attending his church, where an erroneously-driven, young preacher named Jeremiah Stillwell is trying to seek the available pastorate. A tale of love and conflict begins when a Christian family, the Sowers, arrives in town. Their young, attractive daughter Ellen becomes the interest of both John and Jeremiah, and trouble ensues, as the prideful, self-serving Jeremiah attempts to dissuade John from pursuing Ellen. To the dismay of Jeremiah, Ellen only has eyes for John, and they soon marry. Not long afterward, Ellen contracts a case of life-threatening tuberculosis. With no health insurance, John faces the difficult decision of selling the family farm to pay for the medical bills and wrestles with the fact that he may lose his new bride. A heartfelt story from Bridgestone Multimedia Group, this family-friendly DVD is the perfect resource to teach your family the virtues of true humility and total dependence upon God's grace. Review: John is the main character in this film and he is a quiet and hard working man. He takes care of the land that has been in his family for 150 years. Raised by his grandfather, John lives his life by the Word of God. John's story is one of trust and love along with the challenges of his faith. His quiet life is faced with decisions about his farm, his new wife, and the future of his church. It is a tale for the family to enjoy as you watch as one man's spiritual beliefs help him through some trying times. We happily award this film the Dove "Family Approved" Seal for all ages.
