Call Me!
Hi <<First Name>>,
Call me. Okay, but at what number? Home phone? Cell phone? Can I send you an email? At work or home? Or should I Tweet or Facebook you?
I'm putting together a skit for my church and need to contact about 10 people. But how do I contact them? I have cell phone numbers for a couple of people, emails for a couple more (but they don't check them very often), and I'm Facebook friends with about half of them.
I sent text messages, left voice mails (on home and cell phones), sent messages via Facebook and emails (to home and work addresses). Hopefully I've reached each person, but there's no way to really be sure. It's like playing roulette. I'm seriously considering smoke signals next.
I wonder if God feels like that sometimes. He gave me His Word, He speaks through friends, through music, through preaching, even through the wonders of nature, but I'm not available to Him. He calls but I don't always answer.
The prophet Eli told Samuel to make himself available to the Lord. He said when Samuel heard God's voice to say, "Speak, Lord, your servant is listening." My prayer is that I can hear God's voice and have the wisdom to listen, no matter how He calls me.

Vote with Your Remote Project
by Angela Walker
Use your television remote this Friday night and vote for more quality family entertainment by tuning in to The Jensen Project, the latest film from WalMart and Procter & Gamble. It may seem odd that a retail giant and soapmaker would combine forces to make films, consider that Procter & Gamble were the first sponsors of daytime drama, hence the name "Soap Opera."

Kevin Sorbo Joins Cast of Three Times a Lady

Actor Kevin Sorbo, best known for his roles in Hercules: The Legendary Journey and Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, is joining actor Muse Watson in the new romantic comedy Three Times a Lady. "I like that a new twist is taken on a standard romantic comedy making the focus of this movie more circumstances," says Sorbo. "The humor in this film is universal. It gets you to laugh at the foibles of finding love later in life. I'm excited to be part of the cast!"

Dove Review
Recommended for ages 12 and over
Dove Review:
This is a powerful and compelling documentary. Dan Merchant fearlessly tackles a controversial subject: have Christians been guilty of judgment and hate? What would happen if Christians spoke to gays in love and kindness, rather than speaking out against them with what the gays perceive is hatred?
This is one documentary that, whether or not you agree with its approach, will make you think and analyze whether Christians are successfully reaching the secular world or not. The viewer will learn of people who came from broken homes, only to find no solace in church. Yet the viewer will also see how that the choices of the people in the documentary influence where they wind up.
Listen to comments by people like Bono, who says, "I was cynical not about God but God's politics". This film is intended for a mature audience and we award it our Dove Seal for ages twelve plus. It will make you think. It will encourage you to ask questions and possibly to rethink your own approach to people you may disagree with. Dan Merchant says he is still a Christian today and has been since he was a teen. But now he is examining his motives and approach to others more carefully. We gladly encourage viewers to make use of this important DVD. It could be life changing.

Cosmic Conflict: Origin of Evil - DVD
by Susan Stephensne
"Excellent production. I like this video because it allows the Bible to explain itself. I find it draws out prophecy from the bible, using other parts of the bible as "keys". God was very careful when He gave the scriptures, that they did not need so-called experts to explain it to us. That is the Holy Spirit's job. This video puts it in simple detail from the Bible itself to explain some of the greatest mysteries of why God allowed evil to occur. Out of the possible ranking of 5, I would be tempted to give it a 6"

Billy: The Early Years - DVD
by Lisa Beattie
"I really liked this movie. Billy Graham has always been an inspiration to me. It was interesting to see him in his younger years before he knew Christ. There definitely was some humor and sadness, just as life is. I suggest this movie."
