jelly are proud to announce Migy as our October Artist of the Month Migy is one of our most adaptable artists when it comes to illustrative content. His artwork covers everything from food and travel, to rock-stars and – not forgetting to mention- a loveable family of ducks! With the British summer already a distant memory, Migy’s lively illustrations with their Latino-colours and playful characters are continuing to bring the sunshine into our office. Migy studied fine art painting at University before advancing to a Masters in 3D animation. As a result, he frequently uses mixed-media, combining hand-painted ink textures with digital drawing. His skills mean that his work is easily translatable to motion, which makes him even dearer to our jelly hearts. Migy’s quirky yet fun style has caught the attention of many big brands and this summer was no exception. His most public display of artwork for 2009 was for Greenpeace & Oxfam’s “We’re In It Together” Campaign in association with The Guardian and used to promote Glastonbury Festival. Chelsie says: “Migy is one of our most versatile artists and able to find a solution to most briefs. His work has a lovely charm due to the combination of hand drawn lettering and painted elements, a bright colour pallet and lots of friendly characters.” To request a commission, contact Chelsie on 0207 323 3307 or e-mail chelsie@jellylondon.com for more information! An exhibition of his artwork is currently on display at London Agency, Joshua. If you’d also like to have his artwork displayed in your offices/building, please get in touch!
