jelly are proud to announce Tony Wilson as our Winter Artist of the Month Tony is one of our longest-established artists, based at the heart of jelly. He joined our studio as a visualiser for Three Blind Mice around 12 years ago, before transgressing to the brighter-side of finished illustration when jelly was born. With two decades of commercial illustration experience, it’s no wonder that he has developed into the most versatile and adaptable artist on our roster. So, which styles can he do? Let’s re-phrase that: which can’t he do? At present, he can confidently cover: realistic, hyper-real, simple line, diagrammatical, medical, architectural, technical, graphic, maps, character design, painterly and pastiche. He is the master of all trades and we welcome anyone to challenge Tony with a style not on this list! Here at jelly, we’ve often likened Tony Wilson to a super-hero. When under the disguise of jelly house, he was always on hand to develop any style requested; often to the most impossible of tight deadlines! You may be surprised by the highly commercial artwork that he has to his name. They include: The British Gas Blue Flame characters; The Argos Book; The Thompson Local Cat; The latest CBRE Illustrations; The CSMA Website; and Cadbury’s Creme Egg: Goo on the Loose. He used to be a visualiser so, works quickly and consistently. We love Tony because he's based in-house, making him reliable and very accessible when we need him!"
