This year is certainly moving fast. We are already close to the halfway mark and still there is so much happening around us. Only recently JAVAC have wrapped up a successful journey to ARBS 2010 in Sydney, have happily given prizes to our stand visitors and welcomed improved equipment to our product range. As you read on, we will also give you an insight to your vacuum pump. Do you know what it likes to drink? If not, you should find out. JAVAC were proud to be exhibiting at The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) exhibition in mid April. Hopefully you were lucky enough to be there and chat with our team and learn about our latest products. If you weren't there you would have missed out on seeing our latest portable recovery unit, the XTR Altima, another step above our already successful XTRpro. We also featured the commercial recovery system, Reco GT, along with a variety of new hand tools aimed at the mobile technicians. Amongst our employees, Steve Davies, manager of the JAVAC U.K. division and John Campion from our New Zealand support office, were available for exhibition goers to discuss their needs and learn more about our company.
Then of course there were the ever popular and beautiful JAVAC Ladies. Stacey and Amy were a hit with everyone, happy to talk shop with customers and round up potential winners for the JAVAC GPS giveaways.

The XTR Altima portable recovery unit has recently been added to our premium commercial range. A sleak, black unit, filled with features and improvements on the current portable recovery range, it offers a light weight high performance compressor with ceramic bearings and fan forced cooling, allowing the user to recover refrigerant with ease, even on days of extreme weather. This unit also has the added value of an extended two year warranty. It is an excellent piece of equipment to add to your tool kit.

Do You Know What Your Pump Drinks?
It is extremely important to operate your vacuum pump using the correct viscosity oil. Some people complain of poor vacuum, overheating and lack of lubrication. These are the top three complaints received by people who use the wrong oil or contaminated oil in their vacuum pump.
Could you be using contaminated oil?
Oil contamination is usually indicated by a poor vacuum reading, or oil with a grey/milky appearance. Should liquids accidentally enter the pump you must change the oil immediately.
Your JAVAC high vacuum pump is a precision unit, remember that oil is much less expensive than unnecessary servicing and repairs.
We take pride in every vacuum pump we deliver and ensure you of our long term interest in our products' reliability. To ensure your continued satisfaction, JAVAC highly recommend the following oils for each model vacuum pump:
VECTOR RD Series should operate with No.16 oil
DD/CD40 should operate with No.15 oil
DD/CD 75, 150 & 300 should operate with No.16 oil
CC Series should operate with Shark Oil
Shark should operate with Shark Oil
Minivac (MV2) ahould operate with Shark Oil

We are extremely lucky to employ a talented and loyal group of people who continuously go above and beyond their daily routines to support our customers. In April, Managing Director, Andrew F. Davies, formally acknowledged long serving staff members by presenting them with employee service awards.
National Sales Manager, Paul Keedle and production employee Ron Saliba were both awarded with 5 years of loyal service. While Steve Davies, manager of JAVAC U.K. was also in town and recognised for 20 years of loyal service. Now that is commitment.
