Special Release

This is a special one-time release for the benefit of bridging communication between Mission Valley Elementary and our local educational community.

 "But Cupertino Did It"

It did.  Cupertino raised THREE MILLION dollars to save teachers' jobs in the coming year.  Cupertino parents' "The Future is Now" campaign was successful, and you've seen numerous releases in the local press.  Their success has many in the Fremont community wondering whether this type of grassroots fundraising campaign could work here.  We now have group of enthusiastic and energetic parents working to make that answer, "Yes!"

How Can I Help, and How Much Time Will it Take?

As much or as little as you can give.  Right now, this group is in its infancy.  It has built momentum quickly given the short time frame, but they need more momentum.  That could come in the form of committed involvement such as the volunteer of services and time, or in the form of simply adding your name to the list of those that support the idea in principle, but don't have time to commit much more.  Whichever you are, please add your name to the list of supporters on their Facebook page, "SaveFremontStudents."  In the next few days, the group will be creating a website of the same name so that you can follow their progress and contribute as you are able.

But What If I've Grown Skeptical and I No Longer Believe in Miracles?

Put that doubt aside for now.  This group isn't asking for much in its commencement.  Add your name to those that would like to to save prep teachers' jobs; there's no cost to you other than your stamp of support. Whatever the outcome of this group's initiative, we'll all benefit as a community.  Their work will bring schools closer together and communicating with one another.  Their work will bring businesses closer to schools and finding unique win-win alliances where both parties benefit.  Their work will bring us closer to forming a unified voice with which we can voice our community's needs.  In the coming years of financial drought, it will take everything we have to insure that our children's educational needs are met.
