Glading: Andrews Aids Scheme to Hide Health Care Cost Informationfrom South Jersey Voters
Barrington, NJ– Americans are demanding to know the true price tag of the Democrats’ health care reform legislation, but the ruling party in Washington continues to play partisan games and delay releasing vital cost information to concerned voters. Unbelievably, one of New Jersey’s own elected representatives has been instrumental in the cover-up.
Rather than admit that his party is deliberately keeping taxpayers in the dark, entrenched Congressman Rob Andrews (D-NJ) is lamely citing “technical issues” for the delay (Nasdaq.com, “US Rep Van Hollen: Health-Care Vote Likely To Be Delayed,” 3/1/710). Andrews is a close ally of Nancy Pelosi, a major contributor to the unpopular legislation, and a recent participant in President Obama’s staged health care summit.
Rob Andrews’ deceitful behavior is alarming and, according to new information, clearly part of a larger scheme to fool the American people. Contrary to the Obama Administration’s earlier claims, The Heritage Foundation now estimates that the Andrews-backed legislation will cost Americans approximately$2.5 trillion over 10 years (The Heritage Foundation, “The President’s Health Reform Proposal: More Like $2.5 Trillion,” 2/24/10).Congressional Candidate Dale Glading is demanding the truth from Rob Andrews on behalf of South Jersey residents.
“It’s now clear why Rob Andrews would want to hide the real cost of health care reform from South Jersey voters; the bill he helped write will bury future generations under a mountain of insurmountable debt and government restrictions previously unimaginable in a free country,” said Glading. “The fact that Rob has to hide the details of his health care bill should tell voters all they need to know about this terrible legislation.”
