Ryan’s Ministry in Missouri
While I'm training and taking classes, Ryan tackles a variety of ministries. His main ministry is with the Missionary Kid Care and Education Department (MKED) as an administrative assistant. Like any office, they need a point person to take care of the “little” things, run errands and such. Three of his afternoons he spends with the IT Department helping with tech problems on campus. Although these two jobs make up a 40 hour work week, Ryan ministers in other ways too!
 Every Tuesday night a group of Jr. High students from on campus gather and Ryan teaches them. Last semester they studied Philippians and now they are going through James. The kids come from student and staff families at the training center—what a privilege Ryan has in discipling them! On April 10, the leaders hosted a twelve hour event (10 to 10 on the 10th) focusing on service, prayer, teamwork and the Abundant Life we have in Christ.
 Ryan also helps teach Sunday school at the local church we attend in Missouri—the Rock House. He and another man have been teaching through the Life of David. On Monday afternoons, Ryan comes with me to a public school in town to tutor high school kids. Tutoring gives us the opportunity to build friendships with these hurting teens as we help them with Biology or talk to them about their life. We are amazed at how often spiritual topics are brought up by the kids. This outreach even gave Ryan an opportunity to meet with two guys every Thursday for Bible study. More Training Videos!
