Disaster Relief
On Sunday, May 22, Joplin was hit by a powerful tornado and suffered massive destruction. A relief fund has been set up to accommodate Rotary clubs or individuals who wish to contribute. Contributions will be handled by Medical Supplies Network, Inc (MSNI), Tulsa.
Checks may be made payable to MSNI Disaster Relief-Joplin.

2011 Rotarians reach out to help tornado victims in Missouri, USA
A tornado ripped through Joplin, Missouri, USA, on 22 May, destroying a third of the city and killing more than 100 people. The tornado has been called the deadliest in U.S. history since the 1950s.
Rotarians from District 6840 (parts of Louisiana and Mississippi) have made a donation of $2,500 from their contingency fund, Burton said. Rotarians at the convention contributed $1,355 during a breakfast attended by 6110 DG Wallace Williams on 24 May. District 6110 has set up an emergency relief fund through Medical Supplies Network Inc., a project of the district. Donations may be made by check. Learn more at www.msni.org/contact.
