Recently two Newton community organizations -- Move Newton Forward and Citizens for the Future of Newton -- joined forces to continue to work for positive political action in our city. Working under the Citizens for the Future of Newton banner, CFN is now stronger than ever and laying the groundwork for future activities.
We want to call your attention to some important events coming up this Spring sponsored by the Citizens Advisory Group (CAG), which has been charged with defining the choices facing Newton and identifying innovative ways to increase efficiency or develop new or enhanced sources of revenue. The next CAG forum is coming up on Monday, April 6:
Citizens Advisory Group Forum on Municipal Costs/Performance Management Monday , April 6 7-9 pm Longyear Museum on Route 9 in Chestnut Hill Two other CAG events are planned: Capital Structure Report, Monday, May 4, 7-9 pm, Newton Free Library; and Overview: Renewing Newton, Wednesday, June 3, 7-9 pm, Newton Free Library.
