5th Annual Art Auction
Please join us for this celebration of art – from the whimsical to the breathtaking – at the 5th Annual Art Show and Auction held Saturday, December 5th with a preview and wine and cheese reception from 6-8pm and live auction starting at 8pm. In addition to the live auction, a variety of additional unique and useful items will be available in a silent auction. This year’s art show will feature works in media ranging from ceramics to wood to watercolors donated by members of the Yestermorrow community from around the country. If you would like to donate items to the art auction or silent auction, please contact shannon@yestermorrow.org. Funds raised through the art show and auction will go to build Yestermorrow’s Scholarship Fund. Yestermorrow Instructor Featured in Dwell
Andreas Stavropoulos, current Yestermorrow instructor and 2004 intern, was featured last month in the Dwell blog for his amazing project renovating an old Airstream trailer into his mobile design studio and home. The studio is now housed in the garden of a co-op in Berkeley, CA where Andreas is practicing as a landscape architect. Living and working in a home of only 150 square feet, he is well credentialed to be co-teaching the "Less is More: Designing and Renovating the Smaller Home" class coming up in mid-November. The Dwell photos speak for themselves: check out the slideshow of images at http://www.dwell.com/articles/the-airstream-life.html. Board Profile: Katrina Spade
