Kith, Kin, and Kindlers
Your Connectorati tip for the month is a note of reflection on the importance of recognizing your "kindlers" by Tech After Five founder, Phil Yanov.

"In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit." - Albert Schweitzer

ConnectoratiAs I am crafting my goals for the year, I stopped to reflect on the people that have inspired me and helped keep the flame burning for me both personally and for my various work enterprises. We are all born into our kin group and we certainly know who they are and how they influence us. Kith might best be described as that much larger group of people we come into contact with professionally, but there is a third group that we draw to ourselves or are otherwise lucky enough to connect with and draw inspiration from. They help us remember why we do what we do. They put us back on the path when we lose it. Our Kindlers are like muses bringing us good ideas when we are open to them.

A good Connectorati knows to cherish and nurture those connections. Make a list of the people who are on your Kindler list. Next to their names list how they have helped you. Now don't forget to thank them. A handwritten note telling them you appreciate their effect on your thinking would be entirely appropriate. Next, find out how you can rekindle a flame for them or others. Who would have you on their list of Kindlers?
