Tips to Preserve Projector Lamps

Projector lamps don't last forever, so we want to provide our customers with a few helpful tips to extend the life of your lamps:

• Reduce the number of power on/power off cycles. Turning the projector on and off a lot during the day can reduce the lamp life. Instead, leave your projector powered on until you've finished using it.
• Never turn off the projector by unplugging it.
• Running the projector lamp in low power, economy or standard mode can increase the lamp life significantly.
• Never replace the lamp assembly with a previously used lamp assembly.
• Never expose your projector lamp to extreme amounts of dust, smoke, or heat. This will cause the projector lamp filters to become clogged and the projector lamp will overheat. If your projector requires filter change, please make sure this is done regularly.
• Don't touch any part of the replacement lamp assembly with your fingers or tools. Fingerprints and other contamination can cause premature lamp failure.
