Jacksonville Bail Bondsman's Family Has Questions Over Shooting
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Jacksonville bail bondsman Antonio Cooks was shot and killed by police last week while trying to apprehend a felon. His family members say they have questions about how police could have mistaken Cooks and his two associates for armed robbers.

District Attorney Doesn’t Endorse Idea of Wisconsin Bail Bondsmen
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI – Gov. Scott Walker has proposed bringing bondsmen back to Wisconsin, after they were ousted from the state legal system in 1979. However, Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm has publicly opposed the idea.

Alleged Bail Scam Artist Behind Bars
The suspect then contacted a co-signer on a bond and demanded an additional $1,400.00 for associated court costs on a previous warrant and new charges that were being filed. The suspect said if the co-signer didn’t post the additional bond funds he would have the person she bonded picked up and returned to jail. The co-signer paid the $1,400.00 and when she appeared in court on March 28, 2011, she learned she had been the victim of the scam.
