Run, Leslie, Run!
Our own Forest Park mom, Leslie Fisken, is considering a run for the LRSD school board, Zone 3. Leslie (former PTA secretary & eblast editor, current homeroom mom and tireless volunteer) may seek the seat that Melanie Fox has held for the last 6 years. Melanie is not seeking reelection and lends Leslie her support. Leslie will launch a website as part of her preliminary work on a potential run for office. If you would like to be listed on the website as a supporter, email Leslie.
Good luck, Leslie!

Ready. Set. Go!
The Little Rockers Marathon training for Forest Park students is off and running! It's not too late to get signed up to join us. The adults do their marathon all in one day, but the kids get to take 4 months. Many miles have already been accomplished (like 4 miles in PE class alone). Others have been done at soccer practice, tennis, etc. (See Denise Laster or Coach Smith, to figure out about how many miles your child may have already done). Students can also accumulate miles each afternoon after school. Check out the Marathon Schedule for all the details for “Do a Mile on Mondays” and "Friday Fun Days."
